Park get set for bowls challenge

The bowlers from the Consett Park Bowling Club continue their challenge this week for the Travelsphere national club championship, the FA Cup of women's bowling.

Led by captain Isabel Conroy the club play their first match of the 1998 Travelsphere championship against local rivals Shildon Bowls Club at Shildon.

The ten-lady Consett is made of the following pool: Sheila Shaw, Dorothy Summerson, Jacky Philipson, Isabel Conroy, Margaret Robson, Maureen Gowland, Gill Jones, Teresa Pearson, Muriel Sptry, Edna Stokoe, Pat Amstronmg, Evelyn Walton.
