COLONEL MILVAIN’S HUNTLieut-Col. Milvain’s Foxhounds met at West Lyham on Saturday. The field were generously entertained by Mr and Mrs W. Green. Mr Green is now able to enjoy a day with the hounds, after a long illness. Wild weather made matters difficult. A fox found near the Tile Sheds ran through Swinhoe into Detchant Wood. After a lot of work in this vast woodland hounds divided, one lot running into Kyloe Wood, and the others taking their fox unobserved away past the Gray Mare, through Swinhoe Crags and the Tile Sheds into Detchant, where the Master was able to get the pack united. Going on to  the Blagdon Dene late in the afternoon a fox was soon away over the moor through the Tile Sheds Covers. He went to ground in the breeding earth on Hazelrigg Moor. Scent was good, but it was a disappointing day, owing to hounds getting split.
