1930s

1931 - Annual Meeting

The Club won the North West Durham League championship and C.I.C. competition cup. There are photographs of a prize awarded in 1931.

1932 - Single-handed open

An article about Consett Park Bowling Club's second "Single-handed" open.

1933 - Spoons with 88 bowlers

A spoons competition that was completed in one evening

1934 - Consett Bowlers' Dance

A report of the annual whist drive and dance.

July 1935 - County Match

Durham vs Cumberland and Westmorland was played at Consett Park, with three Consett bowlers playing for Durham. 

September 1936 - Consett Park's "Treble"

Consett Park won the North West Durham League for the third year in succession.

December 1936  - Annual Meeting 

There was a short report of the Club's 1936 Annual Meeting in the Newcastle Chronicle. It had been a good year, including winning the league. The adjacent columns were dedicated to hunting.

July 1938 - Results

The results of some NW Durham League and knock-out competitions.

July 1939 - Consett Iron Company Challenge Cup 

The competition took place on Consett Park's green, and was won by Crookhall Colliery.

November 1939 - Annual Meeting of the North-West Durham Bowls League 

A team from Consett Park won the League rink cup, and two of Consett Park's committee were also on the N. W. Durham committee.  On the same page was a report of Consett's football team's war-time match against Blyth Spartans.
