Damaging flowers in Consett ParkYesterday, at the Consett Petty Sessions, Thomas Grey, labourer of Blackhill, was charged with damaging flowers in Consett Park on the 21st ult. – Alex Briggs, Park-keeper, spoke to seeing the defendant commit the damage, and said they were much troubled by people plucking the flowers. – Dependant pleaded guilty, and was fined 2s 6d and costs.
